- Haplotype database (ACTG IDs, sequences, frequency tables, per-gene metadata) → see the JoGo License (ODbL 1.0).
Screenshots: Website screenshots are part of Portal Content (CC BY-SA 4.0). However, the JoGo logo inside a screenshot remains a trademark and may not be extracted or used as branding. Likewise, an ACTG diagram visible in a screenshot remains subject to the limited-purpose terms below if extracted or reused outside the screenshot context.

This page sets the Terms of Use for (A) the JoGo name and logo (trademarks) and (B) the ACTG visual diagrams (copyrighted figures). Trademarks and figures are governed by different rules.
A. Trademarks — JoGo name & logo
The JoGo name and logo are trademarks of the JoGo Project. They are not licensed under CC BY-SA or ODbL. Use is governed by these Terms and our Trademark Guidelines.
- Permitted (no prior permission): unmodified display to accurately refer to/link to JoGo (e.g., academic slides, articles, project listings). No implication of endorsement/partnership.
- Prohibited: modifying the logo (colors/proportions/effects), combining with other marks, using in product/app/company/domain names, suggesting endorsement/sponsorship, or using on merchandise.
- Permission required: partner pages, events/sponsorship, OEM/bundles, book/course covers, long-term in-app UI, or co-branding. Contact: contact us
B. ACTG visual diagrams — limited-purpose license
The following diagrams are copyrighted figures of the JoGo Project. We grant you a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to reproduce and display them solely for the purpose of explaining or referencing the ACTG haplotype or its structure in scientific, educational, or technical materials (web pages, presentations, reports, articles).
- Attribution required: "JoGo ACTG diagram © JoGo Project. Used under the JoGo Brand & Visual Assets Terms (v1.0). https://jogo.csml.org/brand-assets-terms"
- No modification: resizing (aspect ratio preserved) is allowed; other edits (recoloring, label removal, cropping that removes labels/marks) are not permitted.
- No endorsement/confusion: do not suggest JoGo's endorsement/sponsorship or that the figure states an "official definition" beyond explanatory use.
- No standalone resale/redistribution: do not sell or repackage the diagrams as standalone files or clip-art.
- Not a logo: these diagrams are not branding assets; do not use them as product/app/organization logos. For the JoGo logo, see section A.
